Was Michael Jackson’s fatal cardiac arrest the result of psychiatric drugs?
In a May 2009 study, which was largely ignored by the mainstream US media, Jussi Honkola, MD,at the University of Oulu, Finland concluded that people who suffered fatal cardiac arrest were more likely to have taken antidepressants and other psychiatric drugs than those who survived.
“Our study shows that medications may negatively impact a person’s chance of surviving an acute coronary event such as a heart attack,” Dr. Honkola warns. “With more people taking medications such as painkillers and antidepressants, the public needs to understand the potential risks and serious consequences.”
Mr. Jackson’s battle with (legal) psychiatric drugs has been well documented. In court papers filed in Jackson’s Santa Maria county case, Neverland security guard Chris Carter testified that Jackson was “taking ten-plus Xanax pills a night.”
Jackson was also under investigation by Santa Barbara’s District Attorney Tom Sneddon who claimed that a huge stash of prescription drugs were seized when police raided Jackson’s Neverland ranch in 2003. The drugs found included bottles of Vicodin, Oxycontin, Versed, Promethazime, Xanax and Valium.
If the King of Pop’s death was due to psychiatric drugs, he certainly wasn’t alone. Heath Ledger, the 28 year old actor found dead in his New York City apartment, died from a mixture of prescription drugs which included Xanax, Valium, OxyContin, Restoril, and Unisom.
Anna Nicole Smith’s autopsy revealed that the actress had a combination of 11 prescription pills in her system when she died. Valium, Ativan, and the sleep aid Noctec were among them. Smith’s 20-year-old son Daniel died from taking a combination of the antidepressants Zoloft and Lexapro along with methadone (painkiller, anti-addiction aid).
In a 2004 study, a team of British researchers investigated all of the drug related deaths in the UK and Wales. The report, which was published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, concluded that anti-depressant drugs accounted for over 11% of all drug related deaths in the UK and Whales between years 1998 and 2000.
Though the autopsy results have not yet been released, I have a hunch that Michael Jackson’s fatal cardiac arrest was due to a mixture of the very drugs which Dr. Honkola’s study warned about. A study which received little US media attention, with the exception of those who reported the study only to discredit its findings.

I agree. I think your speculation of Jackson’s reason of death is as good as your speculation of real estate market’s bottom in 2010. People of all kinds fall prey to elite capitalistic parasites.

I have a story to tell, my own son was left with ‘0′ IQ, incontinence and severe cognitive impairment, he was so enraged while his brain was shrinking with the ingestion of formulated psychotropics, he almost killed me three times. Psychiatry is.sinister, corrupt, promising evil. Psychiatric drugs must be forbidden and criminalized. Too many horror stories for a decent society to endure. These medicines not only ruin the person but the entire family as well. I detoxified my son seven times and he is no longer psychotic or enraged and this happened 9 years ago. While he was on Trilofan he would look at himself in the mirrow and thought his nose was deformed and insisted constantly he had to have rhinoplastic surgery and other bizarre actions. Therefore, psychotropics were the reason for the insanity, nothing else! Thi is death serious, perphaps Michael ’s death will bring to light the atrocity of the psychotropics’ culture of disaster. Long live his music and extraordinary talent. Mother and Guardian

Glorialieske – I can only 100% agree with your comments.
Psychiatry is nothing more than a money-making scam – they invent the disorders in their Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (So called to make it sound more ‘officia’) and then market a drug to suit – the psychiatrists are then paid by the pharmaceutical companies to promote their drug and of course the psychiatrists then ‘persuade’ GPs to give you their drug to cure depression et al
If you want more information (and believe me you are not alone) then look at Citizens Commission on Human Rights (cchr.org) and watch Psychiatry – An industry of Death. It is a shocking indictment of the mental health industry – I have a sister who was on Seroxat for a couple of years and threatened to kill herself and self-harmed. I had an aunt who was electro-shocked in a mental institution because she was depressed at the break-up of her relationship and it ruined her life. We must all fight against this multi-billion pound industry to protect our future and that of our children. Michael Jackson was an extraordinary talent and psychiatry destroyed his life and that of many others – I am just glad you got your son back!!

Psychiatric Drug pushing is a multi billion dollar industry with over prescription and unnecessary psych drugging at epidemic proportion stage. Deadly cocktails of drugs are fed not only to Celebs like MJ but to the public at large. Society needs to fully confront the widespread damage these “legal” drugs are doing in society. There is public outcry about illegal drugs such as heroin and cocaine etc of course (as there should be), but a whole crack down on the massive “legal” psych drug arena needs urgent attention, – it gets swept under the carpet in society as it is hard to confront for a lot of people and is “legal” so does not get the investigation it deserves. We need to confront it as a population though, – before any more people die unnecessarily from these deadly cocktails.

Psychiatry is a pseudoscience cult. Psychiatry is responsible for Jacksons death. Psychiatry is a pseudoscience that has no scientific validity and underpinnings. Psychiatry ruins lives, families, minds, and bodies. Psychiatrists have no conscience or remorse for the great harm that they cause. It’s absolutely disgusting. 70% of people who commit suicide are victims of the cult of psychiatry. The drugs destroyed their minds and made them do it. Help abolish psychiatry, it’s a dangerous pseudoscience. SAY NO TO PSYCHIATRY.

I just want to say Im not entirly agree with you all. I do not doubt that drug addicction and abuse is probably the most biggest reason for Michaels passing, but I think Tom Sneddon have a bigger role in Michaels Jacksons deth than most people are awaring of now after this tragic avent.
I remember I saw the last trial in 2005 I think. I was emidiatly thinking to my self: This is all about money, this is about prestige. This has nothing to do with common desency, what is right ore wrong, moral, ore ethic, nor about feelings from the “insulted” boy who repitingly continued to visit Michael after he was so called abused. This is all about one mans carrere, his status among his collegues, think what they would say about him if he accive to send the wacco Jacco in to prisson convicted for child abuse he diddent even commit?! ( I just say he was innoccent, because I can not bellive he did something so terrible that needs millions to make up to for whatever he did. ) He was altrugt a freak allready, an abused child before he could walk. Ha had so many operations that he become an expression for failed plastic cirrurgy. Yes he was a freak, but nok a bad one, just different from everyone else, and we liked it. It gave us something to talk about cuse he had became a joke, sad but true. And Tom knew it too. He was asked: Do you passes judges on Michal because you dont like his music? His answer was: Do you realy belive I listen to music like that?? A not very smart comment to say in the coort room considering its a subjective reemark stating he dont like Michael Jackson at all. What else is there to like with Michael Jackson beside his music, and his interesting wardrobe? He had some interesting friends thou, like Diana Ross, and Elizabeth Taylor, He even had Two girl friends ore more. Lisa Marie Presley, and one he ceept in secret from public, so he was not alltrught a freak, but with help from media his immage was keept this way. Michael Jackson was the perfect
victim for a guy like Tom Sneddon. Its almost like the perfect crime, but legal. People like him dont care about if the prosicuted are guilty ore not. That is the way they make money. They are learned to think that way. If they defend someone it doesent matter if they are guilty ore not, same way if you are prosecutor. If you think about what is wrong ore right outside the cort room you are lost and will lose, cause the world outside the cortroom is much more complex and hard to live by than in it.
Its all about bussiness, and Michael Jackson should be easy bussiness after the surcumstaces, but Tom Sneddon is a stupied lawyer trying to take a shortcut to easy money and prestige be his collegues, Michael J is probably not so well liked in his nettwork anyway, so what he had to lose, these things happen all the time, because Tom belive in the system the state of justice has made, cause if you dont you get soft, and soft lawyers do not win.
Huge amounts og money for Tom and the boy parents would materialized if thet won. Luckily they diddent until now.
Im not a big fan of Michael J, but I do feel sorry when things like this happen. I could go on and on accusing his doctor for the same. I think you get the point. It was the drugs that killed him, but I dont think the scars ho got in that court room never realy healed. The reason I wright this, is because we are all the same, but sometimes we kill what we love. That is what makes me so sad. Love to you Michael. Øyvind Ps, dont diss my english………I know it suck.. sss

Its a pity Michael had to die in such a way. Too much drugs killed him there is no doubt about that. When he thought his life was ok, doctors took over from where papa left. Michael has sufferred all his life. Go in peace Michael generations after generations will live to remember you and how mankind has been wicked and jealous of you.
Love to you Michael
