Loan Delinquencies Growing at Record Pace

The Federal Reserve Board announced that loan delinquencies for the 4th quarter of 2008 grew at the fastest pace since the fed started keeping records in 1985. Banks were forced to charge-off a record $48.5 billion in the quarter compared with $13.9 billion in the same period last year.
