Tech Layoffs Jump 75% in 2008

According to a recent report, layoffs in the US technology sector rose 74.2% in 2008 as compared with the previous year. The industry was battered by an unrelenting wave of layoffs.

Another Bailout Bill Another Selloff

The $838 billion bailout out bill dujour won approval in the Senate by a vote of 61-37. The market reacted  in the same way as the passage of previous bailout bills – It sold off.
